Fast - Spring 2023 - Day 1
Hello everyone! Looking forward to fasting with you this week. Leading into the fast, we felt that it would be important to fast and pray regarding spiritual warfare. With every move of God, there is a counter move of Satan. As we enter into this new season, asking God for revival, we must be prepared for the war between spiritual forces that is taking place in heavenly places.
As we fast and pray, we will be going through Ephesians 6:10-20, Paul’s admonition regarding spiritual warfare:
Ephesians 6:10-20
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
We will break up the passage in this way:
Day 1 - Being alert about the spiritual war around us and trusting in Christ’s victory over Satan on the Cross
Day 2 - Our responsibility as ready soldiers to put on armor so that we can fight and resist the enemy
Day 3 - Engaging in spiritual battle through prayer for ourselves, others, and our leaders
For Day 1, let’s be meditating and praying around these questions:
Are we awake and aware of the spiritual war that we are engaged in? Or, are we asleep, looking only at the physical realm? What are some ways Satan might be coming against you in this season of your life? Are there any areas of weakness that he might be able to use against you?
“We do not wrestle against flesh and blood” - Have you fallen into demonizing people? Are there any ungodly judgments, relational conflicts, negative feelings toward others that you need to release?
In your engagement of spiritual warfare, are you trusting in your own strength? Or, are you relying on the victory that Jesus has already accomplished on the Cross? Do you have any unnecessary fear? Have you lost hope and faith?
Let us remember and meditate on Jesus’s victory, His power and great might, and how all things are subject to Him under His feet:
Ephesians 1:19-22
19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church,

สำหรับวันที่ 1 เรามาใคร่ครวญและอธิษฐานกับคำถามเหล่านี้:
เราตื่นตัวและตระหนักถึงสงครามฝ่ายวิญญาณที่เรากำลังเผชิญอยู่หรือไม่? หรือเรากำลังหลับไหล หรือจ้องมองแต่โลกทางเนื้อหนังมังสา? มีวิธีใดบ้างที่ซาตานอาจเข้ามาทำร้ายคุณในช่วงฤดูการนี้ในชีวิตของคุณ มีจุดอ่อนด้านใดบ้างที่ซาตานอาจใช้กับคุณ?
“เราไม่ได้ต่อสู้กับเลือดเนื้อ” - เคยตกเป็นเหยื่อของปีศาจหรือไม่? มีการตัดสินที่ไร้ศีลธรรม ความขัดแย้งทางความสัมพันธ์ ความรู้สึกด้านลบต่อผู้อื่นที่คุณต้องปลดปล่อยหรือไม่?
ในการทำสงครามฝ่ายวิญญาณ คุณเชื่อมั่นในความแข็งแกร่งของตัวเอง? หรือคุณกำลังพึ่งพาชัยชนะที่พระเยซูได้ทำสำเร็จแล้วบนไม้กางเขน? คุณมีความกลัวโดยไม่จำเป็นหรือไม่? คุณสูญเสียความหวังและศรัทธาแล้วหรือยัง?
